Woollard and White was founded in 2015 by me, chief painter, sander, wood chopper and brush washer, Libby.

Previously a marketing type working for some of the UK's top magazine publishers and content agencies, I swapped a life of London commuting, childcare and general plate juggling when my eldest son started school and our lives were unexpectedly turned upside down.

It soon became obvious that I needed work to fit in around numerous appointments, therapy sessions, daily phone calls from school, home schooling (before it was compulsory) and general family support.

So I learnt some new skills and tapped into some old ones to make use of my creative ability restoring furniture and painting homewares -  with the added benefit of making it to the school gates in time for pick up (or before if needed).

​

Three years down the line the daily phone calls from school have decreased, my son is, for now at least, thriving and we're embracing a life with a child who experiences the world in a slightly different way. 

​

One of things that saw me through this 'journey' was a sarcastic and deliciously dry sense of humour, not to mention gallons of gin and an army of good friends and amazing family.

I've coupled my naturally sarky nature with a love of home styling to create unique pieces of home decor and of course, if you've got a custom project you'd like to talk to me about, please get in touch, I'll turn my hand to pretty much anything.

Working has kept me sane and given me a sense of purpose, so a HUGE thank you for indulging that nugget of normality.
